I'm not sure exactly how it is set up in XP, but in 98SE you go 
to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Windows Set-
up>Multimedia>Details and then check Volume Control and OK I'm 
sure XP can't be too different. If all else fails, check Windows 
help on adding Windows components.

Since XP was pre-loaded, the cabinet files are probably on your 
hard drive some where, and Windows might even know the location. 
Your Windows help may have been modified by the manufacturer to 
include such handy info or they may have their own system help.
