FWIW, I don't have a Multimedia entry either, on either of 2 machines, both
running Win XP Pro installed by me from a full installation disk (not
upgrade) after reformatting (NTFS). In the Subcomponents of Accessories box
I have listed:

Calculator
Character Map
Clipboard Viewer
Document Templates
Mouse Pointers
Paint

all with check marks beside them and nothing else in the box, other than the
disk space used (I assume that is what it is).

HOWEVER, I DO have a volume control. Mine is located at
START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>ENTERTAINMENT>VOLUME CONTROL. This is on both
machines. The actual controls are a bit different between the 2 machines,
but I suspect that is probably due to the mother boards/sound cards on the
Dell Optiplex and the K7S5A based machine.

When I opened the message, I found that Wayne Johnson had written:

So far so good!!

This is where the trail ends! There isn't any "Multimedia"...
