I never mentioned race & your original post never mentioned race. Please
keep your political views off the list.
The thread was about this 1st week of July & you expanded back to sometime
last month. The only objection I had was that were preaching to everyone
what July 4th is about when most people on the WinHome list already know
what it's about. Just because you hold some sort of personal grudge towards
our founding fathers doesn't give you the right to post them to this list.
My spelling comments had nothing to do with "Junteenth" but you ass-u-med
that I was segregating you out. You didn't spell "Procaimation" nor
"Declairation" correctly & I was trying to be subtle about it but you had
to take it personally when nothing personal was meant by it.
You're the one with the wrong information as the "Declaration of
Independence" was for all men & that is why the Civil War was fought in the
first place.
BTW if you have a problem with any of my posts then kindly send them to me
off list.

I just did wish everyone a happy Independence day. The only point I was
making is that NOT everyone may feel the same way about July 4th especialy
my grandfather and grandmother who booth faught in the great struggle
for Civil Rights in the 60's long before I was born.
Not to make this personal Wayne but your
sarcasm reflects the very Ignorance that some caucasians still have toward
minorities today. As you mentioned the fact that not everyone can
celebrate Juneteenth becuase their are STILL a lot of people who don't
know about it.
This is why it must be celebrated to pass it on to children so that they
can learn about it.
In Fact July 4, 1776 Independence Day only applied to
non minorities. It did NOT grant Independence from slavery in which my
ancestors endured for many years even during the Civil War. Neither did it
apply to Native Americans and other minorities. This is why Juneteenth
(Yes that is the correct spelling.) is celebrated for me and my people its
very important. If I am preaching to the choir then I am happy I did.
OBTW I do have a spellchecker in GroupWise and will
use it.
So enough of my rant. Happy Independence and Junteenth Day! Enjoy the
fireworks and have a safe one. :)

Happy July 4 and Juneteenth everyone.
Let freedom ring for America and Washington DC!
I can understand July 1st & July 4th but June 19th? Why not wish
everyone in the world a happy independence day? Wait a minute. Not
everyone can celebrate that. FWIW most Americans can tell you what July
4th is celebrating & especially those on this list so why are you
"preaching to the choir" ?
OBTW don't they have a spell checker with Novell Groupwise ?
