Assuming the system is new, can it be returned within 30 days if you aren't happy with the performance? I suppose a restocking fee might be prohibitive. Perhaps
some of the system builders on the list have a thought or two...

Many system builders fall to the pressure to compete with the bottom line and install motherboards with video onboard (shared memory). I have lived with an almost silent cash register (3 to 6 computers per month sold when I need to build and sell 30 per month) for over 7 years because I will not compromise.

My point is with us, opinions vary, also.

It "might be" that you have a reputation for being too expensive.
Do you get lots of "leads" that fizzle or do you have a high rate of closing
deals that you are involved in? If the first, there might be something you can
do...
It might be better to inform and/or enlighten prospective customers and then
let THEM compromise...
I always ask people what they intend to "do" with a computer... If I do not
want to build it, I tell them upfront... I did that with a friend last year,
and they
are having all sorts of trouble with DELL and what they bought... (I think I
called
that one correctly...)

I do not "do" anything graphic intensive, (Zero games, etc.), and have been
using on-board video (VIA - AMD based boards) for three years and they
have been acceptable... I personally compromised and can "live" with the 32m
(or 64m??) of main memory I give up to the video...
(I always start with at least 512m, and this machine has 1.25G for example...)

YMMV, and I am sure there is a lot more to it that neither of us can (or would)
put on the list...
