You're probably using Windows Explorer as your filemgr & in that case I'd
probably agree with you. I use Total Cmdr which has builtin archiving that
is much better than the Compress Folders which I agree stinks.
Some are useless, but many are very useful to the "information worker".
What is an info worker ? Again I think this is probably file mgr related as
to how the info is handled.
BTW - winzip supports command lines too.
Yes it does but the point I was trying to make is that the nix utilities
zip & unzip are not only free but also run from the command line. I could
add they're much smaller too but these days file size doesn't seem all that
important as it use to be when HD's cost $5k for a 10meggers. ;-)
