So you're saying we should assume list members only get their windows news from
your posts to this list?

If someone is interested in knowing this kind of stuff, don't you think they'd
hang out in one of the many places where this stuff is always the main topic of
discussion - like at betanews.com, bink.nu, or neowin.net? Those are the places
you want to be to keep up beta information - not here.

If they didn't know about these sites - they could ask for the best places for
beta information.

Subject: Re: Software: Longhorn beta 1 comming soon

I,ve already known the fact that Longhorn Beta 1 is expected to be released
before end of July.
Just giving a heads up to those people here on the list that my not have known
it. The one thing I've learned over the 15 years I've been in the IT business
is to never assume anything becuase in the IT business there's one common
asspect that always changes: the fast and quick pace of change.

Just becuase eveyone may have e-mail, cell phones and pagers doesn't always
mean that everyone gets the same news as you or I do from the same source. I
get my computer news from Cnet News.com, ZDnet, PC magazine, MSDN mag, Maximum
PC, and other journals and web sites I find authoritative. Other people get
their
source of information from other places from different magazines and different
web sites.

Never assume anything so as Felix Unger once said in the 70's TV comedy The
Odd Couple " When you assume you make..." and of course you know the rest of
what he siad.

And that here is no assumption if you've heard and seen the TV show of course.
;)
