This messing with XP/Home is a real experience... I didn't fully

[EMAIL PROTECTED]@$# hard to get things set up. [as I've said and Tony will
attest, I'm sure, once you *do* get it set up, it is al really no bother
at all but *getting* there is an unbelievable hassle on XP/Home]

Which is, in a way, why we (Extension computer support) do not use Home at the office. :)

BTW Tony has been running limited user on Home while you have been running as (limited) user on Pro. Tony most likely has quite a bit of this covered already.

BTW2 use an account that has admin privilege to set the Administrator account password. It will complain and show some dire warnings about losing this and that for that account. Since you have not used the administrator account, it's no big deal. I believe this has to be done from safe mode however. Tony will most likely know.

BTW3 are you using the Welcome screen? The Administrator account will not show up on that screen unless it is the only account (other than the Guest account) on the computer or unless the computer is being booted into Safe Mode. The Administrator account can be made to show on the Welcome Screen at all times however, by using a "tweaking program" such as tweakui.

BTW4 To get to the Win2K style login screen from the Welcome Screen, press the "Three Fingered Salute" (Ctrl-Alt-Del) twice. Then you can type in Administrator as the login name along with the password.
