We have used Norton SystemWorks at my home for about 8 years. I read that
Norton has not invested much effort in improving it's Utilities over the years.

We have 3 PCs, all of which are close to having their V definitions
subscription service expire in August.

Does it make more sense to just pay for the renewal on each PC @$25/PC; or buy
a 3-PC version of NSW 2005 for about $90; or just keep the Norton Utilities as
they are (since not being improved by Norton) and buy a completely different AV
program?

I have read and read about the different AV applications on the web in reviews
and get very mixed signals. One review says AV "X" is best; another says AV
"Y" is best and so it goes. No consensus seemed apparent. All of them cost
$25 to $40 to renew after a year, so it seems there is no really low cost way
to have good, up to date AV definitions without ponying up the $.

I am interested in hearing from the List. What advice would you give someone
in my position...which is a common situation, because we all must have AV
software!

Phil
