I'm not even sure it was not a printer port/USB Zip Drive
at this point... It has been years, (but only in XP)...
I just remove all items physically that I assume will cause odd things
to happen...

Let's hope it was something oddball like a LS-120. I have done my share of
IDE 250 MB and 100 MB zip drives and XP may not have assigned it the drive
letter I wanted (I reassigned it with no problem) but it did not assign it
Drive C.
