Sometimes Windows can seem to take forever to boot if it is
looking for a network connection. Since you just changed from
microwave to satellite that might be part of the problem. How
long is forever? If it is defragging, it must eventually boot
up.
Is your wifes computer using the satellite connection?
Does directway need a phone connection or does it use a sat
uplink?
Usually what you changed last is a good place to start looking
when it worked before and doesn't now.
