Rick, I am using the product with that build. However, my images go to a separate, internal HD. I have the program on auto with full system images every couple weeks and incrementals every other day. I could increase the periodicity, but right now, that is more than adequate for me. I'm actually considering going to fulls once a month with incremental every third day.
The "chunking" feature, as you call it, always seems pretty shaky. Question for you (sorry to semi-hijack the thread): Are you using the secure zone? Do you know if it possible to copy the Secure Zone backup out to DVD? (You might want to try this if you can...) I can't get mine to verify with their (boot-CD) verify . The same files WILL verify when tested with their verify from inside WinXP-Pro-SP2. (This points out it is always good to verify an entire proceedure, at least once...) I am worried that files that will not verify from a "boot CD" boot, may not restore either... The HD (Seagate 200g) is new this week, so I'm "guessing" it is in good shape... More info: I did an image of (only) partition one (10G used) and stored it on partition three (64G free) of the same physical HD. (To be burned to DVD later, of course...) I wrote to Acronis, but they are not likely to tell me if others are having this problem. <grin> Their tech support is always helpfull...
