all of 30 seconds. It only takes 1 packet to get the mac address since it's
transmitted in the clear for EVERY SINGLE packet.
I don't know any 6 yr olds that are doing computer networking whether
wired or not but I do agree that Eve's open authentication system
that only checks for MAC addresses is sadly lacking for the very
reason you stated above. MAC address locking should only be used as
an adjunct to WEP or WPA & not as a stand alone security measure.
