When I opened the message, I found that Wayne Johnson had written:

Currently the registry has:

DEFAULT REG_SZ ValueNotSet
IconTData REG_BINARY xxxxxxxxxxx
IconUnderline REG_NONE 03 00 00 00

Exactly what should I change? I noticed your example above has
=hex(0): then the numbers.

Also where does "Max Cached Icons" "6000" go and what is it
called.

I have worked very little with the registry and know very little
about it.

Tell me something: At what level of usage/knowledge should one
be (on a scale of 1-10) to already know what you just told me?

I appreciate your help and I'm glad there are knowledgable folks
to which I can turn, but "should I already know all this"? Why?
I'd like to, but how many computer users do? Do I need to feel
totally computer illiterate because I don't <smile>? Well, at least
you didn't make me feel that way, but sometimes I do!

Thanks again,

Jim
