Hi,
I was hoping to use a cross-over LAN cable to get stuff off my old PC
(Win98) & sent to my new one (XP Home). Even with no login, the same
workgroup & similar IP addresses, & all protocols installed, they don't see
each other. The XP pings the '98 OK, but not vice versa.
What have I missed? Note that this is a hotel-room kludge, & if I was at
home, I would have stuck them both in a router & it would have been finished
in 2 minutes!
Any ideas?
