That's known as address munging and is a fairly contentions issue amongst 
mailling list admins, it ranks right up there with top vs' bottom posting and 
other religious wars of ideology ;-), unlike top vs. bottom posting, there is 
no RFC that really says which way it should be, AFAIK.
