In tern ( a fishy flapper)

NAV Home Page Protection one first,
then one from Winpatrol, cos that's running too on that system

Machine I'm trying the NAV & IE on is W2K

If NIS was already installed on my neighbor's computer when he got it and
there's no disc,
then I would expect that there was a 'Backup' process detailed in the manual
( 2 or more pages depending on the PC supplier and model.

Other than that you could take the serial number and try a downloaded
version, or
as you have a licence, I assume that you could install from any valid source
and use your licence code

Your user has taken a startpoint backup, and made a note of all the software
serial numbers,
or shouldn't I assume such things.

I note you are talking about NIS now, not NAV, and I'm talking about NAV
within Systemworks on the system that I was using to try the change, and
that system doesn't include some bits of NIS .
