Interesting choice -- as a philosophical matter I'd say this is incorrect 
behavior.  RFC 2822 explains those two fields as:

> The "From:" field specifies the author(s) of the message, that is, the
> mailbox(es) of the person(s) or system(s) responsible for the writing of
> the message. The "Sender:" field specifies the mailbox of the agent
> responsible for the actual transmission of the message.

I'd think that for a submission to a mailing list, it would be the 
*author* of the messages that'd be the determinant for submission to the 
list, rather than the coincidence of which agent happened to effect its 
transmission.  I wonder what the rationale is for using the 'Sender' 
[which generally is intended to have no real connection with the 
*content* of the message, which is what should be of interest to a MLM]
