I have a similar problem at home, but without Panda.

My problem isn't quite the same, but close. I eventually get my
connection back, and it only seems to be related to DNS. The next time
this happens, try dropping to a command prompt and doing the following:

ping 66.102.7.104 (www.google.com)
ping 207.46.130.108 (microsoft.com)
ping www.google.com
ping microsoft.com

If either of the numeric pings work, but the URL versions don't, it's
just your DNS that's broken, not your entire Internet connection.

Also, one thing to try is to go to your Network Connections control
panel, right click on your LAN connection, and choose repair. This does
a series of refreshes that may fix your problem.

Now, none of what I suggested will solve your problem, but it could help
narrow it down.

You also could try hibernate to see if it's a problem there.
