thanks, carl, but that is for the pagescan usb scanner. the ones i have are pagescan color plus, using parallel port connections. i have considered buying an inexpensive parallel port to usb converter, if they exist, and hooking up via a usb port, and trying the xp logitech usb scanner drivers. something tells me that i'd be wasting my money. any feelings on that?

Subject: help finding driver

greetings - does anyone have an idea or possibly a back door to enable me to find a scanner driver for xp for a logitech (who sold scanner division to visioneer) pagescan plus scanner? xp does not offer drivers, and i have in the past searched for them, with no luck. not only do i own two of these fine scanners (the reason i still have a computer on win98), but yesterday a customer brought me a machine i had built for him several years back, running win98 and with the same scanner. he wants me to upgrade him to xp, or 2000, and likes the scanner and does not want to replace it. i am trying again to locate a 32 bit os driver, and certainly have no qualms about a driver that does not match microsoft's rigid expectations. i would gladly settle for something experimental, i figure possibly someone out there has written a driver that may work. i am certain i could find something to trade, either hardware, software, or cash. yesterday i took my first unsupported steps in almost two years. still have to one-finger type, please excuse the lack of capitals. diabetic neuropathy, thankfully i can still toss the frisbee to my dog, jack.
