My question is, can I use the Xcopy E: F:\E_stuff
/r/i/c/h/k/e/y to make a copy of E.

OBTW there is a better xcopy out there in cyberland called xxcopy <http://www.xxcopy.com/index.htm> which keeps short filenames straight which xcopy may not do such in a case where one might have many files or folders that start out with the same first part of the name. I have 14 folders that start with Microsoft ..... & in certain situations the short filenames can get fubarred but xxcopy prevents short filenames from becoming a problem. I even include xxcopy in all my XpPe compilations. FWIW it's freeware & use all the same switches as xcopy & then some which makes it great for other tasks as well especially in script/batch files.
