I think from what you've told us now, it is not a "music CD".   If the music
was recorded in standard CD-audio format, it would play anywhere.  Try it in
your stereo system or car - bet it doesn't play there either.

Well it could be a data+music CD in which case the .CDA files aren't
visible, but it does sound more like a pure data CD.

It is made up of slides and music accompanying them.

the CD also have the Sonic software, and is that what was used to create the
