It seems you have enabled two different Contacts folders. Maybe through all the importing you managed to import addresses twice, or perhaps a failed attempt left another Contacts folder somewhere. Try this in Outlook:
1. Tools, E-mail Accounts 2. View or Change existing directories or address books... <Next> 3. Change 4. Remove both address books shown. 5. Close and Finish. 6. Exit Outlook, then restart Outlook 7. Find the Contacts folder you want listed, right-click, Properties, Outlook Address Book tab, and click for "Show this folder as an E-mail address book". The only solution is to visit each contact and remove the extra address. When I composed a message and hit alt+. In the to field to get a list of contacts, I got an error to the effect that no folder was associated addressbook. A google search took me to http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;319901&spid=2520&sid=global I did the procedure twice and rebooted since nothing happened. Things began to work after the reboot. However, I seem to have 2 contacts entries in the folder combo box when I hit alt+. In the "to" field of a message. How do I remove the duplicate contacts entry?
