NTFS?
I almost bought SpinRite several years ago, and did not
because support was only recently added for NTFS.
You need to use ver 6, but it is cheaper if you own an
old version and you (or they) can prove it...

I'd check with the Gibson site (www.grc.com) to ensure your version of SpinRite
is compatible with your OS. I'd guess if the (hard) disk isn't running, then
nothing is going to help. Do you mean there is no power to the (hard) disk and
that it is full stop?
