Sorry for taking so long to get back to the question. When I logs on it says 
230.4 Kbps. But in running some speed tests it gets around 12 kbps or 1.1 
K/sec. But I can use it after 9 pm & download & send my email which is my main 
objective anyway. All without any charge. I have a pay as you go plan for those 
times I want to log in on a land line & do some surfing.

All-in-all I'm pretty satisfied so far.
