You could try Pranav's trick of using the same user name & p/w on all the
machines - worked fine for me!
OTOH, note that I have no trouble connecting to a client's wifi network,
without re-booting my LT, but I think that's because he has XP Pro on
everything.
Another idea, from a colleague this time, is to make sure the IP address
range (e.g. 10.0.0.1 thru 10.0.0.9) is specified in all the PCs' firewalls.
