Based on your results of NET VIEW, you should be able to access the laptop resources after typing the following command on MOM or DAD: NET USE * \\192.168.0.2\D (the D on the end refers to the D share you've created on LAPTOP). I'm not sure why you're getting access denied while using the name. I would try changing the computer name of the laptop just to see if that alters the problem. Turning off the XP firewall is low risk when there's a router between you and the Internet.
