This is the realm where "MMV" comes in -- I have no use whatever for the
budgeting/calendar stuff in Quicken and so I'm not even sure how it works
or what it does [much less being in a position to comment if it is better
or worse than some other calendar system]. And so my comments about
online banking and billpaying focus only on that functionality [and its
integration with my account registers/transaction logs]. I know that
Quicken has a *TON* of stuff for budgeting, planning, tax preparation and
tracking, etc, etc, but that's all functionality I have never used.

[And this touches on another of those realms where beyond different
needs, folks have different standards of "convenience" -- e.g., I use
*separate* apps for email, news, rss feeds and web browsing, and I
can't find any reason to put up with (or synergy coming from) an area
of functionality that doesn't quite fit my druthers, but use, just
because it comes "bundled" with an app I use for something else (or
worse, use an app that I don't like the way it does ANYTHING, but I
use it solely because it bundles together a bunch of mediocre areas
of functionality). Whereas I know that others REALLY value having
one gigantic app that (tries to) do everything, pretty much no matter
how mediocrely or poorly.] You're, obviously, willing to put up with
some application-complexity to get your calendar/budgeting system to
work *exactly* the way you want it. I suspect a LOT of others will
just use [and make do with] MSMOney's or Quicken's just because it is
    there]
