You've got to be joking, MOST linksys cards do NOT support wpa under 9x in my experience. I have several B and G PCI and PCMCIA cards, most work under XP SP2 with WPA, some work under 2000 with the Funk Supplicant or WSC Guard (now owned by McAfee) , while none work under 98 in my limited testing. Again some work under 2k with the paid funk supplicant. Linksys does have a rebranded WSC service called Linksys Wireless Guard, but since it's based on WSC which only supports 2000 or later.... > Netgear still supt 9x & all their cards supt WPA while most supt Only a handful of Netgear cards support WPA under 9x, there are a grand total of 2 listed here http://kbserver.netgear.com/inquira/default.asp?ui_mode=answer&prior_transaction_id=164844&action_code=5&highlight_info=16777222,870,886&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fkbserver.netgear.com%2Fkb_web_files%2FN101190.asp&answer_id=25098457#__highlight I don't consider the ones that require the Funk supplicant as the Funk Software is almost the same price as the wifi card. > WPA2. The biggest problems with 9x machines is the lack of [what was > that thing called?] oh ya, memory. Not the machines I maintain, typically I get clients to upgrade to at least 256mb. -- Harondel J.
