it depends on the configuration you set on the router - the
router accepts the request and will respond if you haven't
configured it for port forwarding - in which case, it passes
it to another computer. Most (all) routers can be configured
to send different requests to different internal computers.
But the default setting is for no port forwarding, correct?
If you had port forwarding set and you went to the checkip site,
what device's IP address would it be reporting?
