Yes - Basically, accept that the drive (writing laser, or logic board) is failing, and get another It'll cost as much as a new drive to get the old one checked, and possibly fixed, and if it can be fixed, then you have a drive that's not got a full years warrantee
Only thing to consider is what software do you currently use - If it's OEM and came with the drive then get a drive that uses the same applications software! and - make sure you have backup copies of any codec's etc., then do a windows uninstall of the old OEM software and drive before you swap the new drive into the system.
