I would stay away from D-Link products. Their support is next to nothing,
they rarely update drivers despite numerous complaints or problems, and when
they do update drivers they're just as likely to cause new problems.

Any of the other consumer brands are much better. Just MHO.

I concur.

I have a D-Link wireless router (DI-624 I think), that would invariably drop the internet connection when used as a router, the wireless was on and it was setup to be the DHCP server. If the wireless was off it would work without dropping the connection. I worked with D-Link support, they swapped it out once with a new one (didn't solve the problem), tried newer firmware, which caused different problems. I finally gave up and it is now being used as a WAP only. It is okay in that mode as long as I'm within about 20-25 feet from the unit. Not as good as either of the other 2 Netgears I'm also using.
