I had similar poor experience with the DI-624. It can't walk and chew gum
at the same time. Expect D-Link to fix it? hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I concur.

I have a D-Link wireless router (DI-624 I think), that would invariably drop

the internet connection when used as a router, the wireless was on and it
was setup to be the DHCP server. If the wireless was off it would work
without dropping the connection. I worked with D-Link support, they swapped
it out once with a new one (didn't solve the problem), tried newer firmware,

which caused different problems. I finally gave up and it is now being used
as a WAP only. It is okay in that mode as long as I'm within about 20-25
feet from the unit. Not as good as either of the other 2 Netgears I'm also
using.
