I've had good experience with Sony DVD writters and haven't had one
malfunction since the first model DRU-710A that I had. I have a Sony
DVD Writter model DRU-820A Dual-Layer and may want to upgrade it to an DRU-830A
Dual-Layer which is rated at 18x. Contrary to what others may say about Sony
DVD writters and some bad experiences they may have had with them they may
have gotten one that malfunctioned by random chance.

I want to buy a dvd writer. The vendor who supplies to my office was
suggesting a Sony dvd writer. (I do not know the model.) Are Sony dvd
writers good? A colleague was suggesting Asus for dvd writers.
