Drive 0 is a maxtor fireball 3 2f040l071. Jumper choices are master
slave; cs cable select; cylinder limitation.
Which should I use?

A WAG: If they are both on the same IDE cable then drive 0 might
have 3 jumper possibilities:
1) single drive
2) master drive (with a slave drive attached)
3) slave drive
If you take drive 1 out, then the jumper would need to go to the
first choice. WD drives are usually like this.
