Your on the right track. First the core components, first the AGP card, second
memory add one stick at a time after each reboot, third modem and other PCI
cards last.
Doesn't matter for the KB and mouse they can be kept attached to the PC.

So for those of you who have been playing along my 6 yr old pc seemingly =
