I have a friend who owns an HP5550 that will only print in the slow
(high quality) mode. He has attempted to change the print quality
selection in the "properties" selection but it does no good. I have
attempted to lead him through some trouble shooting at the HP web
site and he still is stuck in the slow mode. He is a professor and
needs to be able to print faster to conduct class business. (By the
way, I have a four year old HP5550 which has never given me a
moment;s trouble).
Does anyone have a suggestion that I might pass on that would get
this printer up and running fast? What am I missing? Seems a
digital system should either fail entirely or work!
