Hi Harondel, I am a regular user of dragon naturally speaking version 9.0. I have found a significant increase in accuracy from version 8.0 to version 9.0.
The key benefit of such technology is that one can dictate faster and one can create macros for carrying out repetitive tasks. It is crucial to get the right kind of microphone and to have the system with sufficient resources to run this technology. For microphones, go to www.emicrophones.com. I am currently using dragon naturally speaking version 9.0 on a computer with 2 GB of Ram, processor speed of 2.4 GHz and a 80 GB hard drive. Operating system equals Windows 2000 professional all updates applied. I do not use a digital recorder so cannot comment on that. However, you may want to check the forum at the following link www.knowbrainer.com. Pranav -----Original Message----- From: Windows Home/SOHO [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Harondel J. Does anyone have any suggestions on switching to version 9, how well it works, that sort of thing, in comparison to Dragon NaturallySpeaking 8.0. So far I am pretty impressed overall with version 8.0. I remember using Dragon NaturallySpeaking back in version 2 .0 days. It's come a long way. Still I wonder how far it will go. Just curious how many people actually use Dragon with voice recorders, I have the Sony SX46, which works pretty well, what kind of machine people are using for voice dictation, my current machine is an Athlon 1400, with 768 MB of memory. This e-mail was partially dictated using Dragon. -- Harondel J. Sibble Sibble Computer Consulting Creating solutions for the small business and home computer user.
