Yes, which is just how I remembered it, however, even in the days of ver 2.x,
I knew people who could dictate faster than I type.

I don't, at least not anymore.

I have a need for it, that's why when my Sony ICD-P28 died a few weeks ago, I
bought the SX46 Speech to Print bundle. I generate hours of dictation daily
from my work, typing it up takes several hours again, I could use those hours
spent transcribing much more effectively generating new business and/or
servicing current clients.

However, my first test of having DS8 transcribe the recordings from my voice
recorder was an abysmal failure. There were 19 wav files in the specific date
stamped folder totalling about 10-15 minutes of dictation. There were
probably 200-300 words in total, of that amount, a cursory read through shows
maybe 20-30 words transcribed correctly. The rest of the transcription has
NOTHING to do with what's in the recordings.

I know a large part of that is the quality of the voice recordings, so my
intention is to redo all the training documents several times each under
varying background noise conditions and distance from my mouth. Hopefully
that will help with the accuracy. I'd be happy to get 80% accurracy overall
