Okay forgive me as I am a newbie to the greatness that is the KVM switch.
I bought one today so that I can use it at work with my laptop and my work
monitor, mouse and keyboard.
The problem I am having is that the laptop screen has a native resolution of
1280x800 (widescreen). The LCD on my desk is 1280x1024.
Is it possible to setup some kind of profile for when using the LCD via the
KVM switch? For example when I am using the laptop screen have a default
profile with the default resolution but when I switch to the LCD move to the
profile that is 1280x1024 so that it looks better. I'm familiar with
hardware profiles that one can setup and select at boot up but I would
rather be able to make the selection from within the OS if possible.
When I click on my desktop properties I see all kinds of things that lead me
to believe that I can but I can't get it to work right.
