Actually did 2 or 3 @ 15 minute readings into the voice recorder for training. Tried to do the same recording a couple of times with cooling fans running in the background and in a silent room. > You can indeed add specialised vocabulary and show dragon sample > documents so that it can adapt to your writing style. That's not the issue, I want it to correct itself when I feed it the transcribed text. > I suggest, you dictate your reports for a week and use the correction dialog > box to correct errors. That's of no use to me, I dictate into the recorder while in the field taking notes on what I am doing for clients. Plus I talk differently when doing VR on the computer that when in the field since I have the time. When I am in the field, my focus is on resolving the issue(s) for the paying client. > And then try transcribing from your digital recorder. Ideally I want to do all the training with the recorder since that's what I'll be using. > Another thing to take into account is the way you are dictating. I you > enunciating clearly enough? That's the crux of the matter, I work in many different environments on a daily basis, some have higher or mixed background noise, some are quiet. Also depending on what I am doing, my enunciating is not so good, I occaisionally can't understand what I said with replaying over and over when manually transcribing. I've been practicing holding the recorder at a consistent distance and orientation and that helps a bit. > Could you send me a sample of your dictation? Not really as it typically has confidential information :-( If I can find something "clean", I'll send it over. > Also, have you ask this question on the knowbrainer forum?
