With the version bundled with the Sony Voice Recorder, that is not the case, 
when you first run Dragon, it explicitly says to do record the training texts 
into the recorder and have Dragon transcribe it.

Problem is, it gets maybe 1 in 20 to 30 words that I dicate in the recorder 
correctly. I don't see that being a viable way to train it, not unless I am 
willing to wait until the next century ;-)

I did setup a second profile for in the office. Mixed results there, but much 
better than from the voice recorder.

Yes, that's what I did several times.

The response said to hack it so I can do verbal corrections of the dictation, 
haven't tried that yet.
