Which permissions should I change. I have granted " everyone" all
rights. I have granted "steve" all rights, administrator already has
all rights.

I mentioned it before, but did you try booting the Pro machine into
safe mode to edit permissions? I know you said the option wasn't
available when booting normally and having simple file sharing
turned on. If you haven't tried that route, try it; Home allows you
to edit permissions in safe mode, so I'm thinking that Pro should, too.
Alternatively, I think someone else suggested turning simple file
sharing off, editing permissions, and then turning sfs back on.
It's called simple file sharing, so you wouldn't think it should be
this hard. Things like this can be very frustrating.
