How and where do I set the password for the home machine? I went to the
user /group dialog box I have local users and groups. Do I put it under
users or groups, and do I log it as home machine or in my name etc.
I appreciate the help.
Thank You.

To change the password or set a password for the user on the Home machine
you will select the User from the local users and there should be some way
to Set password there. (r-click on the username and see if it has Set
password as an option). I don't have Home installed on any machines here
anymore, so I can't give you the exact steps. Have you tried going through
Control Panel/User Accounts? I don't even know if that selection is there on
Home.
I'm not sure what you are asking about "...do I log it as home machine or in
my name etc...".
Log what? where?
Just to summarize,
You have 2 Home machines, each have a username assigned that is used for
login. Regardless of whether you are prompted or not its there. (With a
single account and no password, Home just logs straight in). Each of the XP
Home usernames needs to be added to the user list on the XP Pro machine. The
easiest way, as Pranav suggested is for all 3 machines to use the same
user/password.
But, the bottom line is the username(s) currently in use on the Home
machines must be added as users on the XP Pro machine and then the
permissions on the XP Pro machine set to allow access to the shares you've
defined by those users.
