Not necessarily... On Gateways at least, the recovery partition is the *FIRST* physical partition. The *SECOND* physical partition is the active (boot) partition and designated as drive C. That will confuse folks that are not familiar with partitions and do not know how to find out in what physical order the partitions are located on a drive.

The OP needs to quit guessing and go to Disk Management and report the actual physical locations of the partitions and their respectively assigned drive letters.
