Maybe we should install a command window shortcut that has black text
on white background?  Would that be less intimidating?  :-)  I'd love
to see a graphical CPAN shell.  Part of the reason that I'm starting
to (slowly) document CPAN.pm is to make it's API less mysterious so
people can actually use it for such things.

The CPAN GUI is actually a candidate for Google's Summer of Code. It's not for CPAN.pm but CPANPLUS because of its better API, but it shouldn't really matter for the user *how* exactly the modules get installed as long as it works.
