Yes, we've seen this before with people using fwin on some video cards.
It
is sort of like the backingstore problem with XFree 4.0.1, but setting
the backingstore option to 'on' doesn't fix it. We are working on a fix
for it, and hope to be able to release it soon. In the meantime, the
best
thing to do is simply run 'win' maximized in a separate virtual desktop
rather than to run it on it's own x-server F8. So long as you have
backingstore turned on, you shouldn't have any blackouts, and if you 
maximize the screen resolution, it still looks like you're just running
Windows.
