I've already done that comparison :) Seriously, vmware has fewer
compatibility issues, supports network neighborhood, and is quite a bit
slower (and I say that as someone with a 750mhz/256 box). Mind you,
vmware/win98 is quite usable, it's just noticeably slower than
win4lin. However, I have kept my vmware/win98, since I have to telecommute
using checkpoint's secure-remote app, which runs under windows by shimming
itself between the tcp/ip stack and the enet driver - since win4lin doesn't
have either of those, that doesn't work. I have found a couple of issues
with secure-crt as well (when connecting using ssh). It's kind of
disappointing that a bug I reported months ago in rev 1 has not been fixed
in rev 2. Maybe in rev 3 :)
