Plain Red Hat 6.2 install, Windows 98 Standard.

Maybe. What other process might conflict with Win4Lin? I'll try shutting
down all non-essential processes and see if the problem persists.

AFAIK they're owned by me, yes.

So what do you suggest - reinstall Win4Lin? Reinstall Linux?
