I have been running win4lin 1.0 from cd rom on my caldera 2.2 box (kernel
2.2.14) and its has been fine.
I now want to install win4lin on a different box (bigger, faster, Caldera
2.4) and got the upgrade version and a license number.
I patched my 2.2.16 kernel and ran the quickinstall script. Things went find
except it couldn't find some fonts.
When I try to load my windows cd, either from my hard drive or from my
cdrom, things don't work.
Trying from the cdrom, the cdrom light goes on, the message "looking for an
install directory " comes up, then it stops and nothing seems to have
been loaded.
Trying from the hard drive, the window just closes after a while.
When I go to the personal install section next,it says that the windows files
haven't been loaded.
I have installed a new cdrom. I have tried to load win4lin 1.0 from my
cdrom. The same things happen.
I have tried all the things in the troubleshooting guide for loading the
windows CD. Nothing helps.
Any insight appreciated,
