Don't know about OSS, but I have both Win4Lin and VMWare installed and
they both work (simultaneously if I'm careful about setting Win
machine RAM sizes). Unfortunately, VMWare doesn't work with X 4.0, so
it's limited to a 640x480 display :((. I did have to upgrade from
kernel 2.2.16 to install VMWare, however.
